Dr. Irit Sadeh

Ministry of Education

Dr. Irit Sadeh is the director of the Chief supervisor of Biology, Science and Mathematics Division at the Ministry of Education. She holds a bachelor's degree in biology and a master's degree in botany from the Hebrew University. Her PhD in science education is from Bar־Ilan University.

Dr. Irit Sadeh served as a high school teacher and taught biology and environmental science for 25 years. She then served for seven years as the director of the Department of Environment at the Ministry of Education prior to her current role. Dr. Sadeh was also a biology instructor, and collaborated in the development of curricula materials, including the Bioscience Unit, the "Environmental Workshop", "From Seed to Seed" textbook, and "Biotechnology, Environment and everything in between". Today, she is the representative of the Ministry of Education in the Animal Experiments Council of the Ministry of Health. Her expertise includes inquiry-based learning, environmental education, teacher professional learning and curriculum development.
